| Formatting Notice: Spaces in Names |
|
Are you trying to make a link to a website page - document / wiki site page - picture that has spaces in the name? A wiki does not like spaces in any link, and converts them into plus signs "+", which breaks the link, makes the link not workable any more.
|
Click on "tiny" in next box down to see a solution. Not only is the Address smaller, the spaces are all gone so the link works as it should. The service is free; the new re-directed tiny link is good forever!
Only use this service when you need to do the above things. Thanks. |
Enter a long URL (or one with spaces in it) to make tiny:

Have to redo above item.
- above link (no longer any good) is an example of what can be done...
Welcome to our church wiki -a User Interactive Webpage -PBWiki...
We are building a wiki...(an easy-to-use webpage that lets you collaborate with other folks who attend The Rock MCC) to create one of the best interactive sites a church can have. This (1) wiki site and (2) our church website and its (3) e-News, along with (4) attendance at church, will be the main avenues to find out what's happening in the Gay Community, as well as in our church. Here you can learn what things need to be done, what ministries you can join to work for God, and even get or post news (edit your pages) about recent events or current activities. What more would you like to find on this wiki? Let us know -by editing your pages again...
This wiki is a labor of love, full of fun to do, in putting the unity back into community... Unity in Community -our middle name!
Our own wiki --(you know, those little fuzzy green fruit called kiwi, only pronounced backwards, wiki )
YOU can edit, put notes, comments, suggestions, etc., right into these pages yourself!
Note: This wiki has been updated to "Gold Professional"... lots more storage, more features, and not JUST password protection... Bernard Wotton
Each church Board of Directors Member has their own page(s).
Each church Team Ministry has its own page(s) for interaction among team members.
Each Board member and Team Ministry is listed in the "SideBar" on your right...
Also, anyone (who has a password) can enter and edit any page they feel led to... or even start a NEW page, or even start your own wiki (if you do make your own wiki, if appropiate, you can add the link to it here. If you have your own website, blog, etc, you can add the links here so other folks can view it. But if you do add links, make sure it is appropriate for a CHURCH setting.
[-NO pornography, NO "adult" links, NO spam, please. Any of these things will be deleted, and you may be banned from editing in the future...]
(Add stuff here...)
A built-in Calendar to use to add events to...
Want to talk to me right now (if I'm online)?
Chech out the following feature.
Plugin error: yackpack (Plugin not found ../common/plugins/yackpack.inc)
A Spreadsheet you can use for our advantage...
Why are my file uploads being blocked?

from an enail sent to me by Rebecca, PBwiki Support
All PBwikis allow you to upload images. It's HTML and Javascript files that now have restrictions.
Your ability to upload will come back after a few minutes. I'll take a minute or two here to explain why this happened and what you can do to avoid it.
PBwiki offers a basic free web service to thousands and thousands of users. Some of the users, unfortunately, are what you might call "hackers" or "spammers".
When spammers gain control of one of our wikis, they can cause a great deal of damage on the internet to other people and our own good reputation. We had to do something about it.
We've implemented some aggressive spam filters that are mistakenly blocking out legitimate use of our service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, we know about this, and we plan on improving it.
Specifically, if you upload HTML or Java Script files, you may be targeted by our spam filters and blocked for 10 or 15 minutes. After the blocking time is up, you'll have access to your file uploads again.
We will continue to block HTML files until we can find a better way. Administrators can request 'javascript' to be turned on in their wikis. Please check PBwiki forums or Newsletters for wiki updates.
Since you are a church or school, we can share a 'work around' with you - so you may continue to upload file-types that have been blocked by the PBwiki Spam System ...
Simply copy the file first (so you don't overwrite the original file) then 'rename' the file before you upload it. After you upload it, 'rename' the file to it's original filename.
( i.e . "church.html" can be renamed to "church.txt" then upload it. Once it's uploaded, rename the file to "church.html" )

I corrected some of the spelling and changed some of the grammar. May God bless your ministry.
